Farewell Nikki

One of the girls I work with finished working with us this week to move on to bigger and brighter things. So I made a little present and card for her on her last day.
I used the circle circus stamp set and some inspiration well actually a direct copy from Claire Daly for the card her blog can be found here http://www.clairedaly.typepad.com/
The cylinder was demonstrated at convention by Shelli and I just modified it a little and added a rub on greeting. There seems to be a trick for the top and bottom too. Perfect for a demonstation if anyone wants to gather some friends together :)

Random Acts of Kindness

What a wonderful surprise was waiting for me tonight on the end of my bed (thats where the maid leaves my mail) when I arrived home from a busy day working with a labouring client at the hospital but some snail mail from Sue F who is one of my downline. It was such a pleasure to have just this instead of another house bill. Thanks so much Sue :) The card is wonderful with its matching envelope. If you wish to see more of Sue's creativity you can see her blog here http://purpleheavensue.blogspot.com/

Convention Make and Take 3

This is a cute card which has the potential for so many uses. The greeting I used was thinking of you but the sentiments are endless. There is also bling and extra goodies on this card if you look close. I am loving the buttons in the new catalogue and have found a million uses for the pretties kit so prepare yourself to see more of these products on my creations :) I love the envelope decorated too. I would like to see one like that waiting for me in the mailbox other than a bill

In Color Ribbon Swap

In Color 2009 Ribbon ShareWhat is a ribbon share?
A Ribbon share is where a number of people sign up for the share and then get 2 metres of each color ribbon in the range (2m of Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss) I thought that we would start with the new colors and see how we go. I already have a few people interested in signing up for this share. The cost for the share is $24 which is much better than the $120 it would cost you to buy each of the five rolls.
This share is open to anyone in Australia including fellow SU demonstrators
To join the share email me dunstan@internode.on.net

Convention make and take 1

As you know I have been inspired to get scrapping and stamping since returning from Canberra.

This is one of the make and takes that we made and I really enjoyed making this one. My scrapbooking friends know that I am great at making pages but I suck at adding pictures so this is a real masterpiece for me.

I also noticed that Cheryl my upline also had a similar idea on what pics to add.

Hope that you enjoy and I will be adding more pics over the next few days

If you are interested in learning how to make this why not book a workshop? Gather a group of friends together and we will have some "me" time making it :)

I am in the process of finishing my monthly newsletter so please feel free to add your email to the list so that you don't miss out

Convention Canberra 2009

Well its back home and back to reality after a fabulous time in Canberra for the Stampin Up Convention. It was great to catch up with uplines and other SU Friends. Great to see Chris again and to say hello to Gail and Felicity :) Everyone is friendly and thats one of the things that makes being a demonstrator so much a pleasure.

Dont You Just Love My I am in Awe of this woman Smile?

I along with Jodie (my downline), Cheryl (my upline), Donna (Cheryl's Upline) and Sue (Cheryl's friend) all got the chance to meet ShellI Gardner CEO of Stampin Up who was out the from states for the Convention. She was lovely as we had imagined and showed us how to make the most interesting cards. She has some stamp sets and items in the new Catalogue that she personally endorses. The cards she made were on the Rustic, Vintage side. I was going to give you all a sneak peek but I love them that much that I want to make them myself first!!.
There are some great specials announced for the month of May. There are specials on Double Sided Paper and an even greater special for scrapbookers. Be sure to keep your eyes on your inboxes for the newsletter or email me for further information.

Blogger Meltdown

Blogger is not coping with me adding all these cards tonight. I have worked out though it helps to make your images smaller.
This is the last card I have to show you that I have used the Yummy set on.
I dont particularily like the spritzing at the bottom would prefer something else there but I was doing a technique class at the time. I did the rock and roll technique on the motif on textured cardstock. I think it looks impressive

Look What I have been up to!!!

I found this Ink Pad holder whilst blog searching before christmas and couldn't wait to make one of my own!. It took me a while to work out what Foam Core board is but I found it in Riot (Craft store) whilst down in melbourne. Apparently you can get it elsewhere though as people use it for mounting. I bought two pieces of A1 for the project and I had a few bits left over but I am happy that I made it myself and it only cost me about $20

It fits each color family in the slots (60 Pads) and has room for your other bits and pieces on top.
The other photo also shows what I have been storing my card in the drawers are from Office Works but I am finding with the more card I am buying the more sets of draws I need!!

If you would like the instructions you can access them from Stacey Kings blog http://rebelinker.blogspot.com/ Thanks Stacey Great instructions!!!
